Wendy White
Wendy a native of Colorado is currently living in Grand Junction, CO. Her first song was composed when she was 4 years old (a jingle about her bath tub.)Her vocal style is greatly influenced by Celtic groups like Steeleyed Span (Mattie Pryor), Solace, and Loreena McKennitt.
Her on-stage experience began at 5 singing for an audience of over 300 on Mothers Day at Central Presbyterian in Denver. At age 15 she was featured on television during a talent show called \"Stars of the Future\". During the last 10 years she's been performing at churches, outreach ministries, Celtic fairs, and bluegrass festivals. She has won first place at the Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Festival in Estes Park CO in the unaccompanied Celtic singing competition in 2003 and in 2005 and took second in 2006.
Currently Wendy has been volunteering as a worship leader at New Life Church for the past 6 years. Wendy also enjoys leading "Friendship Club" a ministry for the developmentally disabled at New Life, the largest attended in North America. She plays guitar, mandolin, D'jembe and the bodhran.
Hundreds have enjoyed her unique voice, sense of humor and energy and have suggested she record her inspiring songs. Wendy and her husband Tony are now busy recording their latest project and hope to release it soon. (They are also remodeling a 100 year old house.)
Whether playing for one or one thousand, her enthusiasm while worshiping the Lord is infectious.
