Steven Cannistraci
I've been writing songs for a long time. It is my favorite thing to do, and I do a lot of fun and crazy things. Writing songs is almost as easy to me as breathing. When a song comes to me it is usually complete with the purpose, message, lyrics, backup vocals, music and target audience all provided. My song catalogue is about 1,000 songs that cover a wide range of issues and styles.
I also design special vehicles to take my music to the public. I call these vehicles "sound carts". A typical sound cart, I have a whole bunch of them, is a self contained music making P.A. system that may or may not have a propulsion engine. My first sound cart was an ex Los Angeles Times news paper truck that I painted with special graphics and converted in 1995 to have a rear stage and sound system. I quickly discovered that it was too big and cumbersome to use for every application, so I started making smaller and more portable sound carts. I now have over ten sound carts in several shapes, sizes and configurations, including motorcycles with trailers, 3-wheel bicycles, an electric wheel chair, 3-wheel parking meter scooters and several others. I will try to get some pictures on the web site as soon as I can, if possible. I also have a fleet of buses, motorhomes and other support vehicles to provide specific ministry to people in non-traditional ways.
My songs cover a broad spectrum of practical thought, feeling and sprirtual instruction and can be as deep or unintrusive as you want or need at the time.
Since I have just joined Indieheaven I still need to explore the potential of the site, but to the extent possible I will post some of my songs and poems to provide an idea of what I have to offer.
My home base is in Salem, Oregon and I work in Los Angeles. My base away from home is in Glendora, California. It is a 1,000 long miles from one end of my life to the other. The angst of living like this has provided the impetus for many a song.
I look forward to making myself available to you, and through that process to help you come closer to yourself, the Lord who loves you and others you love.
Thanks for reading,
Steve
