LEARY WALTERS
Leary Walters is an independent Canadian Gospel singer/songwriter/keyboardist. Leary\'s musical journey began many years ago with a dream. Leary believed God spoke to him one night and gave him a gift but was uncertain as to what that gift was. Leary had been asking God for something that would give him the ability to influence people in the right direction - toward God.
Becoming a musician was never something Leary had ever considered. As the years passed, the dream he had would slowly begin to reveal itself. While attending church, Leary realized he was slowly gaining an appetite for the keyboard. He dusted off an old organ that was sitting in his basement and taught himself how to play and write some simple tunes. Since then, Leary has honed his craft and is now poised to share his voice, music and message with the world.
Leary has a desire to write songs that are timeless and meaningful; songs with real staying power and ones that will enrich and inspire the lives of those who hear it. He also would like to write songs that every songwriter wishes they had written and songs that extend well beyond the church walls.
Leary\'s involvement in music does not end at the writing stage even though he considers his writing skills his greatest strength. As a self-taught keyboardist, Leary plays and programs, arranges and mixes and records all of his musical works in his make-shift home studio. Add to this a smooth and dynamic voice, with an exceptional range, and you have an independent artist in the truest sense of the word.
\"If all of my music career amounted to only changing the life of just one single individual, I would still consider it a success. This is not a numbers game for me. Influencing the life of just one person in the right direction would have made this journey worthwhile.\"
Leary has a genuine love for people. He has a desire to bring the truth of Gods reality in a tangible way into a world that so desperately needs Him. He prays that his life will be a testament of the fact that the God he serves is not too far away; that He cares and is still at work among men. Leary views his music only as a means to an end. He wants to use his gift to help all people find the path to life including those within Christianity who have been drawn away from the gospel of repentance and faith in God. Leary believes that it is our faith in God that saves us, heals us and will deliver us.
