Greg Bunton
I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I began attending Riverside Christian Church when I was one week old (at least that\'s what my parents tell me), and I have been a part of the church ever since! I grew up singing in the children\'s choir, serving as a junior deacon, attending every youth activity I possibly could, and spending my summers at Christian Hills Camp in Eureka, Kansas.
Church camp is where I really fell in love with God and heard God\'s calling on my life. And so after graduation I packed up my things and headed to the bustling town of Enid, Oklahoma. I spent four wonderful years attending Phillips University and walked away with a degree in Christian Education. Phillips was a great school! Not only did I get a great education, build lasting friendships, and have a ton of fun, it was at Phillips that I met my beautiful bride, Julie!
In December of 1995 Julie and I tied the knot at First Christian Church, Casper, Wyoming. Within two weeks we moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where I assumed the position of full time Youth Minister at First Christian Church.
After six years in full time youth ministry I made the decision to attend Phillips Theological Seminary and pursue my Master of Divinity degree. In May, 2005 I was ordained, and in that same month, after experiencing 9.5 years in full time youth ministry, I assumed the role as Associate Minister of First Christian Church, Edmond, Oklahoma. Then after 3 years as the Associate Minister, I made the move back into youth ministry as the Associate Minister of Student Ministries. I also drive a school bus for Edmond Public Schools - bus #21 to be exact.
Julie and I have two incredible children - Mikayla and Brody. We also have a dog named Toby. My family still lives in Wichita, and Julie\'s family still lives in Casper.
