I\'ve performed my \"Ed\"ertainment concerts in just about every state in the U.S., recorded two CD\'s and one actual album...you know, those big-round- flat-black-things that needed a needle? I\'m a past winner of the nationwide GMA Christian talent contest in Estes Park, Co., published a children\'s book and dozens of humorous articles in newspapers and magazines, and ate an asparagus (it was an accident).

Ed\'s concerts are usually solo acts, but he\'s also had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with Phillips, Craig & Dean, 4Him, Bryan Duncan and more recently, Bob Carlisle (of \"Butterfly Kisses\" fame)-who had a hard time trying to get used to being his \"follow-up\" act.
To his wife\'s chagrin, he\'s often remembered for his infamous trumpet duet number-with himself-which has now been downloaded over 500,000 times on places like Google Video and YouTube, or for his operatic Spanish menu or songs about nursery workers and church building projects.
When not on the road, he has the great joy of helping his Dad, Rev. Les Thompson, at the ministry of LOGOI-a mission organization founded some 40 years ago focused on helping national Spanish pastors become effective ministers of the Gospel.
Ed says, \"I\'m the very proud dad of three extremely active, athletic, and good-looking kids. I\'ve been married to my first wife, Jennifer, for over 20 (we met at Wheaton College) who, to my great relief, has been able to help the kids with their algebra homework. We live in Miami, FL with a dog, a cat who ran away, and a hermit crab living somewhere underneath our kitchen sink.\"
