Cathy Reynolds
Cathy is an accomplished singer/ songwriter having songs with Daywind publishing company and now with her own publishing company Cathy\'s Boys Publishing. She is a member of the Gospel Music Association, ASCAP, SGMA, and the CGMA. She is also endorsed by Christian Music Presenters, Nashville. Cathy was with the Anita Bryant show in Branson Mo. for 3 years where she worked as a choreographer, co-director and featured performer for Anita as well as co-director of Anita\'s Christmas Show, which won \"Best Female Christmas Show\" of 1996 best male show was \"The Andy Williams Show\". She was also the director of the \"Anita Bryant Company\", a group of aspiring singers and dancers in Branson. Under the directorial talents of Cathy Reynolds all of the students sharpened their musical talents and most found their way into Branson shows. Many are still there performing in shows. Some have followed their dreams to Nashville and Hollywood appearing on the first \"American Idol\".
Cathy choreographed for the \"Positive Country Show\" in Branson and Moe Bandy.
She is currently the elemetary music teacher at Peoria Academy as well as the director of her performing arts studio and has performed, as well as taken show choirs to perform, nationally including Disney World, Six Flags, Branson Mo., many many churches all over the country, and even the White House, Washington D.C. The Central Illinois Performing Arts Studio is designed to bring out the talent in the students making them performers and future stars. Some of the former students are currently performing in regional and national shows.
Her new CD \"Gloryland Highway\" as well as \"When Faith Calls\" were produced by Jerry Kelso of Nashville, Tennessee. Her style is similar to Karen Peck or even Sandi Patty with powerful highs and a feel and sound of her own. Jerry Kelso and Cathy wrote most of the music for the CD as well as the featured Freedom Flag. He is also the pianist for the Southern Gospel group, \"The Dove Brothers\" He also writes for music publishing companies like Centergy Music Group and Daywind.
Cathy believes her calling to gospel music was a life time nudging from the Lord. The stage was set and soon all the players were in place and her singing talents were released with Jerry Kelso\'s writing and producing. Many people came together on her CD projects to make it happen, all of whom have had some association with Trinity Music TBN. The list includes Jason Webb (Piano/keyboard/B3/digital) recently nominated for \"Creative Support\" at the Southern Gospel Music Guild, \"Harmony Honors\" award show in Nashville.
The CDs were recorded at Trinity Broadcastings, Trinity Music City Studios in Hendersonville, TN. under the direction of Rick Lloyd, Eddie Joyner and Jerry Kelso. The CDs are a collection of original songs giving praise to God. Some are very up beat and others fills ones ears with inspirational praise. There are also 3 patriotic songs. The \"Freedom Flag\" written by Jerry Kelso tells a story of America\'s freedom and history of those who have fought for its\' freedom. When she sings it you can almost feel the Flag wrapped around you. It has been well received during performances with veterans and military audiences. Cathy performs annually for the Veterans Convention in Branson MO. She always performs when asked for VFW\'s and legion halls. She has performed for the 101st Airborne at Ft. Cambel KY and recently for the troops at Ft. Jackson SC.
Cathy had lead roles in many plays and has also won numerous talent contests including her home town\'s crown of Miss Morton. She was also the President of Morton\'s Kiwanis Club for the 4 years. Serving the children of the world and the community.
