Brandon Camphor & OneWay
What began as just another opportunity to play with other musicians, quickly evolved into the potential for something fresh for this generation. Now, after a year in ministry together, Brandon Camphor & OneWay are boldly proclaiming that we are the generation who can change the world. Under the leadership of singer, songwriter, producer, Brandon Camphor, OneWay is comprised of an eclectic group of singers Angela Jones, Jayna Cullens, and Fred Cleveland and musicians Joshua Davies, Jerome Baylor, Myron Mollon, Steven Duffy, and Larry Mack.
After writing his first song at the age of 10, Brandon Camphor has continued to use his gifts to glorify God. He has been privileged to compete and place in the finals for the GMA Academy Songwriting Competition in 2006, GMA Music in the Rockies Urban Gospel Artist Competition in 2005, and the Exalting Him 2005 talent search, which aired nationally on TBN in November. He served as the Youth Worship Leader at Hope Christian Church (Bishop Harry R. Jackson).
Bringing individuality and creativity to the table, OneWay has united to offer an alternative sound for their generation. On December 30, 2007 Brandon Camphor & OneWay started, The Encounter in MD. The Encounter is a night for young adults of all cultures and backgrounds to be inspired, equipped, and influenced by the Word of God to make a difference in their generation. To date, The Encounter is impacting over 600 young adults monthly in the DC Metropolitan area and is continuing to make its mark. Along with the Encounter Brandon Camphor & OneWay started another event, Jesus Rock: Live It Loud which has partnered with other artists such as Kierra Sheard, Leah Smith, Mali Music, Group1Crew, and many others who share the similar values to promote righteous living. Along with their own established events they have had many opportunities to take part in monumental events in their area including the annual July 4th Christ On the Mall Celebration in DC and also recently were invited to perform at GMA Week in Nashville showcase at Urban Soul Café.
They recently released their first single, It's Possible (Gotta Have Faith) which has been released to radio and are setting to release their debut full-length album September 9, 2009. Making their mark and giving reason to be heard, I present to you: Brandon Camphor & OneWay.
