Joshua Wymore
"O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, the work that you did in their days, in the days of old." Psalm 44:1
Although I was born-again at an early age, it was not until I was 19 years of age that the seeds planted in my heart began to grow with any vigor. When that began to happen, other (quite unexpected) things began to happen as well. One of them was that a call to ministry began to burn in my heart, and eventually would grow to an almost irresistible force. Another was that songs began to well up from within me, or come down into me, or...well, I really don't know how it happens. Amazingly, the music would match the words or vice-versa. Sometimes I would weep as a song came to me. Sometimes they came with a sense of excitement (but beyond mere excitement, really). Sometimes with a sense of awe. Other times I would just be silent with worship...
The songs have continued on with increasing frequency, and it is a joy and a passion to write and sing for Jesus. A few years after Jennifer and I were married (five to be exact) she also began to write songs right along with me. Sometimes she writes the words and I write the music and other times she writes both, and sometimes we write together. This has become a part of who we are, and the music and the words flow from within, from the place where (mystery of mysteries!) God dwells by His Spirit.
